(The PDF generation guideline can also be downloaded at Accessing and Using IEEE PDF eXpress.pdf)

You are required to check the IEEE Xplore compatibility of the PDF file of your camera-ready paper by IEEE PDF eXpress web service. You need to submit the Compliance E-mail along with your camera-ready PDF. IEEE PDF eXpress service can be accessed by the following steps:

1. Login to the IEEE PDF eXpress site and input Conference ID as 44473X

  • If you are first-time users:
    1. 1) IEEE PDF eXpress Account Setup: Click “New Users – Click here”.
    2. 2) Enter 44473X for the Conference ID, your email address, and a password. Continue to input the prompted information.
    3. 3) An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
  • If you are previous users of PDF eXpress, but using it for ICCAS 2018 for the first time:
    1. 1) Input 44473X for Conference ID, your email address, and your password for your old account. Click ‘Login’ button.
    2. 2) You get an error saying that you need to set up an account. Click ‘Continue’.
    3. 3) Enable your account to access ICCAS 2018 conference by inputting your previously used email address and password.
    4. 4) Make sure your contact information is still valid and click ‘Submit’.
    5. 5) An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
  • If you are returning users:
    1. 1) Input 44473X for Conference ID, your email address, and your password for your old account. Click ‘Login’ button.

2. For each camera-ready paper, click ‘Create New Title’.
3. Enter Identifying text for the paper, for example your paper title.
4. Click ‘Submit File for Checking or Converting’.
5. ‘Upload File’ and you will receive online and email confirmation for successful file upload.
6. You will receive an email with your checked PDF.

7. If your file passes the check, you need to submit this email as a text with your camera-ready paper PDF at ICCAS 2018 online submission page.

8. If your file fails the check, click ‘The PDF Check Report’ in the sidebar to get information for the errors in your file and suggestions for generation of correct PDF. You may also click ‘Request Technical Help’ for technical support in your account.

IEEE PDF eXpress converts the following file types to PDF:

Rich Text Format
Freelance
(La) TeX (DVI and all support files required)
* PageMaker
FrameMaker
QuarkXpress
* Word Pro
Microsoft Word
WordPerfect

* For documents created in formats that do not embed source files, include all support files with the final manuscript in a folder. Put this folder in a compressed archive for submission.

If it is possible to embed images in the source document, you should do so to avoid potential issues, such as missing graphics.

IMPORTANT: A DVI (DeVice Independent file) is required for LaTeX conversions, in addition to all associated image files. Make sure that your LaTeX system can output a DVI, otherwise it cannot be converted.

Be sure also to check that your images are properly referenced, and that DVI can handle the image file types used (DVI does not handle some newer image types, such as *.png).

Make sure that there are no grammatical, spelling, or content errors in articles prior to submitting to PDF eXpress.

When you have an acceptable, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF, submit this final PDF at http://sigongji.2018.iccas.org/. (The PDF eXpress is NOT a file collection site.)
